1. Meaning of columns in securities trading electronics price board

  • i.Code (Stock symbol): Being a listed stock code at HoSE or HaSTC
  • ii.Ceil (Ceiling price): Being the highest price in trading date a
    + To HoSE             : Ceiling price   = Reference price + 5% * Reference price
    + To HaSTC          : Flooring price = Reference price + 7% * Reference price
  • iii. Flr (Flooring price): Being the lowest price in trading date
    + To HoSE             : Ceiling price   = Reference price - 5% * Reference price
    + To HaSTC          : Flooring price = Reference price -7% * Reference price
  • iv. Ref (Reference price): Being a closing price of the latest trading date and basing on it to define ceiling price and flooring price in present trading date.
  • v. BID: Being a system that shows 03 the best buying price level and correlative quantity. Signification of each of column as follow:
    • Price 1 and Vol 1: Displaying the temporary highest buying price and correlative volume with that price. Transactions are ordered to buy at Price 1 more prior than others.
    • Price 2 and Vol 2: Displaying transactions which are ordered to buy at Price 2 and Vol 2. It is prior after Price 1.
    • Similar to above, Price 3 and Vol 3: Displaying transactions which are ordered to buy at Price 3 and Vol 3. It is prior after Price 2.
  • vi. OFFER: Being a system that shows 03 the best selling price level and correlative quantity. Signification of each of column as follow:
    • Price 1 and Vol 1: Displaying the temporary lowest selling price and correlative volume with that price. Transactions are ordered to buy at Price 1 more prior than others.
    • Price 2 and Vol 2: Displaying transactions which are ordered to sell at Price 2 and Vol 2. It is prior after Price 1.
    • Similar to above, Price 3 and Vol 3: Displaying transactions which are ordered to sell at Price 3 and Vol 3. It is prior after Price 2.
  • Notes:
    • BID and OFFER only show 3 the best buying/selling price. In addition, there are a lot of different buying/selling prices but not as well as the price showing on the board.
    • When having ATO or ATC order, the orders will replace to the column Price 1 and Vol 1 of BID and OFFER.
  • vii. Matching: Being a system that includes 3 columns: Price, Trading Volumn and “+/-“: In trading time, signification of each of column as follow:
    • Periodical matching session (Session 1 and Session 3):
      • Price: Price level is matched in the trading session.
      • Volume (Matched volume): Stock volume prepares to be matched in the trading session.
      • “+/-” (up/down): Changing anticipated price in comparison with reference price. 
    • Continuous matching session (Session 2):
      • Price: Price level is matched in the latest trading.
      • Volume (Matched volume): Stock volume is matched in the latest trading.
      • “+/-” (up/down): Changing the matching price level in comparison with the latest matched price level.
    • After ending trading date, signification of each of column as follow:
      • Price: Matched price of trading session that defines closing price.
      • Volume (Matched volume): Stock volume is matched in trading date.
      •  “+/-” (up/down): Changing the matching price level of session 3 in comparison with reference price.
    • Notes:
      • For HoSE securities trading electronics board, all of columns that show volume will calculate lot (1 lot = 10 stock).
      • For HaSTC securities trading electronics board, all of columns that show volume will calculate unit: 1 stock.
  • viii. Opening price: Price level is formed after ending the first ending periodical matching session.

    High (Highest price): Being the highest price in continuous matching session.
    Low (Lowest price): Being the lowest price in continuous matching session.
    Vol. Foreign (Volume foreign): Stock volume is bought by foreign investor.

2. Color notation

Uniform color convention will help investor recognize easily how to alter market. Detail as follow:

  • Green
: The symbol of increasing price
  • Violet
: The symbol of increasing ceiling price.
  • Yellow
: The symbol of increasing unchanging price.
  • Red
: The symbol of decreasing price.
  • Sea blue
: The symbol of decreasing flooring price
